Project Analyzer has the ability to export management views to a variety of file formats.  This is useful when you want to back up management views, move them from one Project Analyzer installation to another, or send a management view to the Planifi support team for review.

Usually, it is easiest to use XML as the file format for exported management views.  To export a view to XML, open Connection Manager and go to the "Management Views" tab.

Find the view you want to export in the "Management Views" grid, and click on the gray box in the far-left corner of that view's row.  In the screenshot below, we are preparing to export the "Version in Use" view.  The row will turn orange to indicate that the view has been selected.

Next, click the "Export" button on the main toolbar, and select "Export to XML" from the drop-down menu that appears.

You'll now be able to give the exported view file a name and save it to a location on your PC's local drive.  Exported management view files in XML format usually have a ".ManagementView.xml" extension.
